Accelerators Inc. Field Service Schedule - 1973

Here is a spreadsheet my wife found behind a toolbox in our garage. Though damaged by time, it shows the field service technician's schedules for the latter part of 1973 and early 1974. There was a point in time when we had no field service supervisor and I was asked to fill in temporarily. It had to have been done after Oct. 22, 1973, as that date is given as Jack Jackson's hire date, and before November as there are no trips scheduled after October. Another clue to when I made it is the three trips with no end date specified – for Dennis Wagner, Stan Meyer & me – and the latest departure of those is Oct. 24, so it would be reasonable to assume I made it around that date. Assuming that is correct, then the dates for the trips prior to that are probably correct.

As to the year of the spreadsheet – I did the Fort Monmouth install and I have airline tickets to JFK for Jan. 4, 1974, returning Jan. 25, 1974 for that install, so it is obvious the year for this spreadsheet was 1973. There may have been an earlier flight and return as there were some problems with the install, but the install definitely included the dates from Jan 4 until Jan. 24, 1974.

Al Noonan told me earlier this year that he left Accelerators in the first part of 1974 and that Pieter deBruijn followed him. That means Pieter was field service supervisor through early 1974, followed by a period when Jim Brooks served as supervisor, probably reporting to Virgil Simmons, the engineering V.P. Some time after that, Bill Faul was hired and eventually replaced Jim as field service supervisor.

(It is on two pieces of 8.5 x 11 inch unruled white paper taped together. I had to scan it in two sections and then piece the images back together as it was too large to scan in one pass.)

My transcription of the schedule is below. Parts are missing at the top and it looks like one or two October trips scheduled for Larry Buschow are missing.
